The
Executive Steering
Committee plans and leads both
the Steering Committee meetings and the
Community Team meetings. They will be
responsible for making strategic decisions
and recommendations, and will provide
support to Committees, Teams and Chairs as
needed. [at right, Vice-Mayor Dominic
Dutra and Irene Koehler, Celebrate Fremont
Chairperson]
The
Steering Committee
coordinates activities and the planning
process. They meet regularly to review
progress on Committees and Teams, and to
lend support to other groups as needed.
Steering Committee members are leaders of
Committees and Teams, or are Liaisons.
Committees
work primarily to
support the “central” event, but may also
provide organizational support (i.e.,
marketing) to events planned and executed by
Teams or other community organizations.
Teams consider ideas
resulting from the community brainstorming
session, along with their own ideas, as they
reach out to the community to leverage, or
form “partnerships” with, existing
organizations, events and groups to execute
the selected plans.
Liaisons are individuals who
are connected to
a key stakeholder group or organization and
will share information regarding the
progress of each group with the other.
