FREMONT —
Ten local performers and groups have been
named winners of the 2006 Teen Talent
Showcase.
Winners in the
showcase, sponsored by the city's Parks and
Recreation Department, were selected March 4
by the audience and teenage judges from
among the top 18 contestants who had
advanced from three nights of semifinals
last month.
The winners
were awarded prizes of gift certificates to
local businesses, provided by a donation
from the Celebrate Fremont Committee, the
group organizing Fremont's 50th anniversary
celebrations.
