The Celebrate Fremont Committee along with City Council members recently hosted a fundraising dinner which raised $460,000.

Chair Irene Koehler stated how extremely thankful and pleased she was with the results. 

"Funding was self-motivated by the citizens of Fremont and this type of support is beyond anyone's expectations.

There are many businesses which donated to show their appreciation for being a part of the business community for so many years.

Suzanne Lee Chan, Vice-Chair said:  "The money raised will go towards a 2-year celebration between 2005 and 2006.  The goal is to raise $750,000"

The City will have a celebration at Central Park Sept 9-10 to celebrate the city's 50th Anniversary.  More information: www.celebratefremont.org
