The community meeting was held by the steering committee of the Celebrate Fremont organization at the Central Theater on September 15th. The event detailed the status of preparation progress to the Fremont residents.

Ms. Gerry Low-Sabado, who participated in the community meeting the first time, expressed her impression about the preparation work for Celebrate Fremont as “Remarkable”. She said, “This is the first time that I realized the 50th anniversary celebration is going to be in such a splendid manner. It is important the steering committee invites residents to be part of this by participating in various committees, rather than donating money.”

Irene Koehler, the Chair of the Executive Steering Committee for the Celebrate Fremont 50th anniversary, stated “We wish that our residents will play a part in the preparation work. We welcome residents from different backgrounds, age and ethnic groups to join as our volunteers for adding diversified enrichment in our celebration activities.”

There were about two hundred residents attending this community meeting. Ms. Koehler revealed that many attendants were signing up as volunteers on the spot.
